Employee Highlight: Jeremy Simpson

Jeremy Simpson came to us just about a year ago in the summer of 2016. He’s an exceptionally valuable member of our team, and we’re thrilled for you all to get to know him a little better today. Without further adieu, we’ll let Jeremy take it away!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and lived there until I attended Middle Tennessee State University, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree. I also met my wife, Deonna, while in college and we are celebrating our two year wedding anniversary this year. No kids yet, but hopefully a dog will come first! We have been living in Charlotte, NC, for the past 3 years where we both enjoy exploring the city and surrounding areas, especially the wineries and breweries.

How did you get involved with CPW?

I was at work at the fire department checking emails when I saw Ray’s email, the owner of CPW, asking for interest in part-time work. I responded back and have been a part of the team ever since.

Before working at Carolina Power Washing, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Working with the Fire Department is easily the most unusual job I have ever had, but I also enjoyed working with elementary school students during an after-school program while in college.

How do you balance your job at Carolina Power Washing with the Fire Department?

Since working two jobs, I strive to keep a balanced schedule and allot enough days off from both jobs to take care of personal needs and responsibilities.

What’s your favorite part about working with Carolina Power Washing?

My favorite part of working with Carolina Power Washing is being outside and also providing our customers with exceptional service.

What do you find most challenging there about your job?

The manual labor that is involved with this particular job can sometimes become challenging by the end of the day.

What was your proudest moment?

My proudest moment is each time a customer expresses appreciation and gratitude for our job performance and hard work. A little “thank you” goes a long way!

What’s something people might not know about you?

Before I was born, doctors told my parents they were having a girl. Then…SURPRISE!

Favorite place to hang out? Who is usually with you?

My wife and I frequent the rooftop of Whiskey Warehouse in Plaza Midwood.

Tell us about your favorite assignment or client experience.

A couple of clients have come out and spoken to us while we were working, just to say that they appreciated what we were doing and that everything looked great. I really appreciated those kind words.

Thanks for sharing a little more about yourself with us, Jeremy! As you can imagine, we love having someone like Jeremy on our team!
