Employee Highlight: John Ledbetter Lead Technician

We’re excited to feature John Ledbetter, one of our lead technicians, with you all today! He’s been hanging out on our crew for the last 13 months, starting with Carolina Power Washing in August of 2016.

We appreciate his commitment to customer satisfaction, and we can’t wait for you to get to know him better!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up in Troy, NC.  Troy is a small town just outside of the Uwharrie Mountains. I moved to Rock Hill, SC last summer. I have a girlfriend, Jenn, of almost 2 ½ years and we have a spoiled mini-dachshund puppy named Copper. He keeps us on our toes! I love fishing, watching football, traveling, grilling, and spending time with my family.

Before working at Carolina Power Washing, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I have had several interesting jobs in my life from working in the rug business to the wood products industry.  Probably the most interesting job, though, was working with my best friend in his appliance repair business.  Sometimes you never know what you may find in a dryer!

What’s your favorite part about working with Carolina Power Washing?

After spending the past 10+ years working indoors, being able to work outside every day is a huge benefit of working with CPW.  I love the interaction with customers and seeing nearly instant results. The opportunity to make clients happy is probably the best part of this job.

What do you find most challenging there about your job?

What keeps this job interesting is also the part that is most challenging – every assignment is different and presents different challenges.  Overcoming these challenges to achieve the results the client deserves sometimes requires thinking outside the box but this kind of problem-solving is what makes every day enjoyable.

What’s something people might not know about you?

In another life, I would like to have been a Navy SEAL and had the opportunity to climb Mount Everest. In the real world, I love wiener dogs, Batman, crazy socks, and learning about history.  I also would love to home brew beer.

Favorite place to hang out? Who is usually with you?

My girlfriend and I love trying new restaurants and local breweries like Legal Remedy and Old Mecklenburg Brewery.

Tell us about your favorite assignment or client experience.

It’s difficult to narrow it down to a favorite client experience but I enjoy getting to know our clients and learning a little bit about them. Leaving our clients’ properties looking better than they expected is always a good experience.

Thanks for sharing a little more about yourself with us, John!
