Start the New Year with a Clean Slate

Now that the holidays are behind us, take a breath and assess how well your business plan for last year went.  Great? Did that include knowing the curb appeal for your commercial or office property was good? Not so great? Don’t be too hard on yourself. The end of the year is a tough time to get everything done. The beginning of a new year, however, is a great time to catch up with old projects while developing new projects and goals.

Is it the Wrong Time to Pressure Wash My Property?

Pressure washing season is limited for our northern cousins in the US, but not so much for “y’all” in the south. Consistently warmer weather can show up for days through each winter month, so it’s a good time to schedule a pressure or power washing.  There are several good reasons to get it done with the new year:

  • You have the time – If you didn’t get your commercial exterior cleaned thoroughly by the fall or holiday season, then we’ll assume you had a lot of business distracting you. Of course, good steady business is a good thing, so no judgement from us. Now that it’s January, your business, like so many others, might slow down, allowing you to schedule time to have the pros take care of unsightly stains and debris on your pavement spaces and siding. If you have construction or other large outdoor equipment, think about getting that cleaned as well.

  • Easy scheduling – You might think that with the less consistent warm weather, scheduling would be harder to coordinate. In fact, any time of the year can have unpredictable weather. Excess amounts of wind or rain in other seasons is not always ideal for pressure and power washing, so judging for temperatures being warm enough is not much different. Winter months can be easier to schedule since not everyone realizes they can use our services year round.

  • Cleaning now is good prep for other tasks – Getting your concrete, building exteriors and equipment clean now frees up your time and premises for later projects that can’t be done until washing has occurred. Painting and updating other finishes require clean surfaces, and when it does get warmer for those projects, you won’t have to wait or waste time getting the washing done first.

Don’t forget, when the temps are a bit lower, it’s even more critical to make sure you hire the right experts to avoid damaging surfaces by using the proper amount of pressure on colder, more brittle surfaces. Let Carolina Power Washing get you started right this year with that clean slate, concrete or brick.  Call us today to schedule your assessment and cleaning.
